I had seen a glimpse of the pre-production work from Diprente Films at the CTIAF early that year (Cape Town International Animation Festival) & was completely inspired that it was home grown and loaded with references to local culture. Then to be approached for an Art direction role on their project was enough to consider moving cities! An exciting part of my position was also to mentor a young, very talented artist/ illustrator/ character designer (etc!) into a Co-Art Directing role on this project.
